In America a lot of people use Idiom in the sentences ,so it will help you to learn English if you know some .

For good = permanently,forever
ex.Mrs.Wilcox has left her unfaithful husband for good and will soon file for a divorce.

Swing by= to visit
ex.Why don't you swing by my house to borrow the tools that you want.

Rain cats and dogs= to rain very hard
ex.Look outside! It's raining cats and dogs right now.

Desert places by Robert Lee Frost

This week I had learned about an American poet " Robert Lee Frost "

          Lee Frost was born in San Francisco, and after his fathers death in 1885, he moved with his family to Lawrence, Massachusetts, where he became interested in reading and writing poetry while in high school. Frost attended Dartmouth College and Harvard University, but never received a degree. He was a jack of all trades, and had many different occupations after leaving school, including a teacher, a cobbler, and an editor of the local newspaper, the "Lawrence Sentinel". His first published poem was "My Butterfly: An Elegy" in the New York literary journal "The Independent" in 1894. A year later he married Elinor Miriam White, with whom he shared valedictorian honours with at his Massachusetts High School.
          In the following years, he operated a farm in Derry, New Hampshire, and taught at Derry's Pinkerton Academy. In 1912, he sold his farm and moved his family to England, where he could devote himself entirely to his writing. His efforts to establish himself in England were immediately successful, and in 1913 he published "A Boy's Will", followed a year later by "North of Boston". It was in England where he met and was influenced by such poets at Rupert Brooke and Robert Graves, and where he established his life-long friendship with Ezra Pound, who helped to promote and publish his work.
Frost returned to the United states in 1915, and by the 1920's, he was the most celebrated poet in North America, and was granted four Pulitzer Prizes. Robert Frost lived and taught for many years in Massachusetts and Vermont, and died on January 29, 1963 in Boston.

Desert Places

Snow falling and night falling fast, oh, fast
 In a field I looked into going past,
 And the ground almost covered smooth in snow,
 But a few weeds and stubble showing last.

The woods around it have it--it is theirs.
 All animals are smothered in their lairs.
 I am too absent-spirited to count;
The loneliness includes me unawares.

 And lonely as it is that loneliness
Will be more lonely ere it will be less--
A blanker whiteness of benighted snow
 With no expression, nothing to express.

They cannot scare me with their empty spaces
 Between stars--on stars where no human race is.
 I have it in me so much nearer home
 To scare myself with my own desert places.

Alliteration

In my creative writing class.I learned about Alliteration.
What it is:when you repeat the first sound of a word!
Example:
Sarah loves sitting on the sofa.
Peter picked a pound of peppers.
Bill's broken baseball bat began to beg to be use.

How to start?
1.Start with the word.
2.Think of words that start with the same sound (use dictionary if you need to)
3.Play with the sentencees.
EX."F"
Fluffy fur cat face on the little fack mouse.

Now you can make you own alliteration.

Stem

This week I had learned about prefix ,stem and suffix from Vocabulary class.
,but today I will talk about Stem.
The difinition of stem is a word's main part .A stem gives the basic meaning of a word.
Example:
-dict-,-dicts-      meaning: say, speak         Ex.dictator,predict
-dorm-               meaning: sleep                 Ex.dormant,dormitory
-log-,-ology-       meaning:word,study         Ex.logic,dialogue,psychology

this example give the basic meaning of each word. It really help to find the difinition of the word.

Scanning

This week,I had learned about scanning .What is scanning?
Scanning is very fast reading and this skill will help you to read to fine specific words.
First ,you have to read the question and then scan to find the answer.Don't read every words.just looking for specific words to answer you question. And you will able to answer the question.

Fixing Education!!!

I was watching The news about Education in USA.They talked about structure of american education that should be fixed and They talked about student in South Korea That they put themselves very hard to get in University and They spent a lot of times in class more that American student and I agree with this because I have been studing at HELP for a while and I could tell that students for Korea are clever and They also talked about student in Finland . Student In Finland spent time in class less than in South Korea but,student  still succeed their gold.The secret for Finland education is Teacher. I agree with this too ,Don't you think!

PEANUTS GUIDE TO LIFE

Stingy stingy!!!!!

Today after school I took a bus to back home and I always get off at mccully shopping to get some drink or shave-ice at coffee or tea cafe.I like to go there because the stuff were very nice ,but today was different .I was there to buy shave-ice and The lady who might be the manager asked me"Do You want the cap"and I said"yes" ,I paid my bill and sat on the chair while I'm waiting for my order. The girl who was working there long time gave me shave-ice and I took shave-ice back to my seat .Just about opened the cap The lady came to me and said "Do you want to eat here?" "yes"I said "so I have to take plastic bag" she said @_@!!!!"OK!" I answered and she quickly took plastic bag from me.What just happened to me!!!!!!.Just plastic bag!! that you wanted from me.After, I had one bite of shave-ice before left that place with a container of shave-ice  on my hand with out plastic bag and thought "what I had done""did I do something wrong".It really made me upset .Now I will not return to that place anymore even you have a lot of people to buy your drink ,but oneday you will lose that people form being stingy.Thanks to listen to me .(I didn't take any bite of shave-ice ,I gave to my friend.)
